Who we are
Data Scripting Solutions Ltd, trading as Data Scripting, is registered in England and Wales, company number 15056094. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website. Contact hello@datascripting.co.uk.
What we collect
This website collects personal data only when you choose to send it to us by email, including through the contact form, which opens your own email app: your name, organisation, email address and the content of your message. We do not ask for, and ask you not to send, patient, clinical or other special-category data.
Why we use it
To respond to your enquiry and, where you go on to work with us, to manage that relationship. Our lawful basis is legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, and performance of a contract where one follows.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are deleted within 12 months. Records relating to an engagement are kept for the duration of the contract and for six years afterwards for legal and accounting purposes.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf under contract, such as email hosting, and where required by law.
The DS Halo app
DS Halo is our Android app for engineers who set up and look after DSECURE gateways. It is for people whose organisation has a DS Nexus account with us. This section covers the personal data the app handles.
What the app uses
- Your account details: your name, email address, role and site, from your DS Nexus account, to sign you in and show only what your organisation allows you to see.
- An identifier for your phone and its approval status, so that only phones your organisation has approved can manage its gateways.
- What you enter when you register equipment: the type of equipment connected to a gateway, its location, its asset tag and any notes.
- The commands you send to gateways and their results, so your site has a record of what was done and by whom.
What the app does not do
DS Halo does not show, store or send patient data. It uses Bluetooth only to find and pair with gateways near you, and does not collect your location. It contains no advertising, no analytics and no third-party tracking.
On your phone
Your sign-in is kept in your phone’s secure storage. Your recent commands and equipment registrations are kept on the phone for each account separately, so people who share a phone see only their own. Your language and text-size choices are kept on the phone too. Uninstalling the app removes all of this.
Why we use it, and how long we keep it
We use this information to provide the service your organisation has agreed with us, and to keep that service secure. It travels over encrypted connections. We keep it for as long as your organisation’s agreement with us requires.
Deleting your data or account
Accounts are set up by your organisation with us, not in the app. To ask for your data or your account to be deleted, email support@datascripting.co.uk, or ask your organisation’s administrator.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking scripts. If you press Pause animation, your browser remembers that choice in its local storage on your device; it is never sent to us, and you can clear it in your browser settings. Fonts and images are served from our own domain. If this changes, this notice will be updated and consent sought where required.
Your rights
You can ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and object to or restrict its processing, by emailing hello@datascripting.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
